LESSON PLAN FOR TEACHING FOLK GREEK CULTURE AIM: The object of the project is the introduction of the pupils to the context of the traditional modern Greek folk culture. The programme includes elements from customary life and oral tradition. TEACHING AIMS: 1.     To familiarize pupils with the concept and the content of folk culture. 2.     To help them understand the value and significance of folk culture 3.     To realise, as much as possible, their national kai local identity as future citizens of the European Union. 4.     To enhance collectivity and cooperation. METHODOLOGY: The teaching method is based on a combination of group cooperative and experiential approaches, with pupils working together dynamically and the teacher as the motivator and facilitator.
